Xinyu has lived in both urban and suburban environments and has trasversed many cultures and geographies through studying architecture. As a creative and a keen observer of the built world, she finds the power of design in instilling change and compassion. As a research-driven architectural designer, she aims to innovate new ways of inhabitation and expand the public’s access to design. Through a program-, context-, and form-driven approach, Xinyu achieves playful yet empowering spaces.
              
                Xinyu is currently based in Brooklyn and working as a Project Manager and Designer at O’Neill Rose Architects. She has project experience in small-scale residential renovations and extensions located across New York City, Connecticut, and Massachusets. She also freelances as an interior and architectural designer.

                Xinyu has participated in multiple research initiatives and is published in different platforms. She served as a research assitant for Realtime Urbanism Lab led by Farzin Lotfi-Jam at Cornell University and a research assistant for Lawrence Davis at Syracuse University.
